Black Americans make up 14% of the U.S. population, wield a buying power estimated at 1.2 TRILLION, yet we only make up 2% of the nation’s wealth.

My Black Things is a visual index of black-owned products and services + authentic reviews and commentary on each one of them.

This project was inspired by the 1st installment of, @killermike’s Trigger Warning on Netflix — where he dedicates 3 days to spending money ONLY within the Black community. While the sad reality is that living 100% Black in this country remains virtually impossible, through this ongoing project I’m challenging myself (and you) to divert your purchasing power as a Black American to help strengthen and advance the Black ecosystem by buying Black FIRST.

It’s time to circulate the Black dollar.
